Laundry Room Upgrade

Well, I didn’t plan on spending my Memorial Day at Home Depot and working in the garage, but sometimes that’s just how it goes. The laundry room in our house is really just a short hallway into the house from the garage where the washer and dryer happen to sit. The tops of the machines quickly become a dumping ground for junk as we go in and out of the house, which then loves to fall behind and between the machines sometimes never to be seen again.

We’d been meaning to make this room a little more functional since we moved in and I guess that time had finally come. We picked up some pre-finished cabinets that were on sale along with a simple laminated countertop and headed home. I’ll spare you all the details of the construction process this time, but I will tell you that if you ever need to hang cabinets just look up french cleat before you get started and save yourself a lot of headaches. :-)
