Dark Berry Lemon Smoothie
For a few months now I’ve been making myself a delicious smoothie for breakfast and occasionally dinner. I’ve come up with a couple of good recipes so I thought I’d start sharing them with the world. ;-) I haven’t tried to figure out all of the nutritional information, so you’re on your own there, but I do know they are tasty. I hope you enjoy!
Ingredients
- 1 fresh banana
- 3 large strawberries
- 2 slices of lemon rind
- 1 cup of frozen blueberries
- 1 packet of frozen acai berry puree (I’m currently using Sambazon smoothie packs.)
- 1/2 cup of vanilla yoghurt
- 1 scoop of protein powder (I like vanilla Biochem 100% Whey Protien Powder.)
Directions
- Add all of the non-frozen ingredients together and mix until liquified.
- Add the frozen ingredients and mix until smooth. (It’s easy to get whatever consistency you prefer with the frozen blueberries. You can start with just a few, mix, and continue adding until your smoothie is as thick or thin as you like.)
(Makes about 24oz. or 3 cups)
