5 Hikes In 5 Days - Day 3

I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I went on another awesome hike today! The bad news is that all of this hiking is totally destroying my motivation to find a job! ;-) I mean, how can I be expected to sit in a cubicle typing out code all day long when I could be out enjoying this wonderful world? Oh well, a necessary evil I suppose.

Anyway, enough whining, let’s get to the good stuff. Today I was flying solo once again and trucked myself out to Heil Valley Ranch. A clear cloudless sky and miles of trails greeted me this morning. It was awesome and the park was practically deserted when I started out. Well, just me, a rabbit, and a few dozen wild turkeys.

I had never done the Ponderosa Loop before, and the scenic overlook alone made it worth the trip. The whole time I felt like I was back on the trails around the Air Force Academy where we spent countless hours back in high school! :-) Enjoy the scenery!

    1. Nice pictures! I have enjoyed your 5 days / 5 hikes blog!

    2. It does look like a fish head. I think the flowers looked like French Iris, but they’re probably something else.
